Indian English is a language unto itself. We're not just talking about the accent either. There are word usage differences, such as the usage of "hotel" for restaurant, mentioned in a previous post. Sometimes these simply reflect the influence of British English, such as the ubiquitous signs reading "to let" instead of "for rent".
